Level 4 QLS Endorsed | 24/7 Student Support | 20% OFF Certificate & Transcript
The Diploma in Negotiation Skills Level 4 is a comprehensive program designed to equip participants with the tools, strategies, and mindset needed for successful collaborative negotiations. The course begins by introducing the principles of effective negotiation, emphasizing the importance of building strong relationships and understanding the difference between negotiation and haggling. Through engaging stories like “Millie’s Cookie Story” and practical exercises, participants will set clear objectives and intentions for the program.
A core focus of the course is on structuring negotiation strategies, using the 7 Steps to Negotiation Success as a guiding framework. Participants will learn to prepare effectively by defining WIN outcomes—mutually beneficial goals—and understanding the 4 P’s of Negotiation: Personality, Preparation, Process, and Persistence. By exploring creative variables and utilizing tools like the WIN Matrix, attendees will discover how flexibility and innovation enhance outcomes.
The course places a strong emphasis on understanding the perspectives of negotiation partners. Through empathy-driven exercises, participants will learn to step into their partner’s shoes, build trust, and align objectives. Communication skills are enhanced with techniques such as Co-Active Listening, Socratic Questioning, and crafting effective proposals that address underlying needs.
Finally, the course bridges theory with real-world applications, offering guidance on using the 7 Steps at home and avoiding pitfalls like red herrings or higher authority tactics. It also emphasizes the importance of self-awareness, helping participants recognize how their own thought patterns influence negotiation outcomes. By the end of this program, attendees will possess a robust skill set to succeed in diverse negotiation scenarios, whether in professional, personal, or everyday contexts.
